Warehouse & Factory Electrical

Electrical work that respects a running floor

In a warehouse or factory, an electrical fault is not an inconvenience — it is a stopped line, idle staff and a delivery that misses its window. Everything we do on industrial sites is shaped by that: proper fault diagnosis instead of guesswork, planned work scheduled into your shutdown, and preventative scans that find the failure before it finds you.

The single biggest win on most warehouse sites is lighting. Old metal halide and fluorescent high bays burn enormous amounts of power and fail constantly. An LED high bay upgrade cuts that dramatically, lifts light levels on the floor and stops the endless call-outs — and we stage it section by section so the floor keeps operating throughout.

Beyond lighting: three-phase distribution and sub-boards, machine relocations and connections, isolators and control wiring, motor and VSD faults, power quality investigations, and external works including underground supply to yard lighting and outbuildings.

Compliance runs on a schedule rather than a scramble — test and tag and RCD testing, emergency lighting discharge tests and annual switchboard thermal scans, all documented in a register your insurer and auditor will accept.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions about warehouse & factory electrical

Can you work during our planned shutdown?

Yes, and that is usually when the bigger work happens. We scope the job against your shutdown window, bring enough labour to finish inside it, and stage the work so anything unfinished still leaves you able to run on Monday.

How disruptive is a high bay LED upgrade?

Less than most people expect. We work in sections with a scissor lift or boom so only part of the floor is affected at a time. Many sites do it over a couple of nights, or in bays during normal operation.

What is thermal imaging and do we actually need it?

It is an infrared scan of switchboards and connections under load. Loose or overloaded terminations run hot long before they fail, so a scan catches them cheaply. Many insurers now expect an annual scan on industrial boards — check your policy.

Can you connect and relocate machinery?

Regularly. Isolators, dedicated circuits, control wiring and commissioning. Send us the machine's nameplate and electrical schedule and we will confirm what supply it needs before the machine lands on your floor.

Are your team inducted and ticketed for industrial sites?

Our electricians hold current construction induction cards, we supply SWMS and JSAs, and we complete your site-specific induction before starting. Certificates of currency for our $20 million public liability cover are available on request.

Do you handle three-phase faults and power quality issues?

Yes. Phase loss, voltage imbalance, nuisance tripping and motor faults are standard work. We measure rather than assume, then explain what we found and what it costs to fix before doing it.

What response times can you commit to?

Customers on a maintenance agreement are prioritised ahead of general call-outs, with target response times agreed in writing as part of the schedule. Without an agreement we do our best, but we cannot promise a queue position.

Do you work with multiple warehouse sites?

Yes — consolidated compliance registers, one point of contact and a single invoice broken down by location. See builders and facility managers for how the multi-site arrangement works.
